This piece was inspired by the memory of a summer; the afternoons spent at home in the hottest hours, the doors and windows wide open, a breeze of wind barely stirs the wind chimes on the terrace.
My cat sleeps on the sofa his last hours of life.

Amidst hisses and amalgamations of notes and sighs, the radio journal broadcast a religious function in Latin, phonetic relics wrapped in a web of slender polyrhythms. The passage of a slowing train, the screeching of the brakes, the metaphor of an end.

A singer sings a melody from the stereo.
His voice spreads like a perfume amidst harsh sounds and trails of pulsating dust, then disappears at the toll of the hour.

A first version of this piece was performed Thursday 19th April 2018
at the SIME festival (Semaine Internationale de la Musique Electroacoustique), Lille, France.
