Tea Trip [2013]

'Tea Trip' speaks of memory, of distance.

Many years ago, finding myself for a few days in Salerno, I happened to be present at the rehearsals of friends musicians.
One day, while we were all around a table drinking tea, the singer of the group (originally from Senegal) began to sing a melody accompanying himself on the guitar, imitating the Senegalese women, in their way of calling each other. Some of these moments - a mixture of joy and nostalgia - have been recorded, and are now dispersed in the composition.

'Tea Trip' was performed for the first time on 21st August 2013 at the FUTURA Festival (Crest, France) on the large Motus acusmonium of 100 speakers. festivalfutura.fr/index13.html#.XsLoyy3W5R0

In 2015 the composition was scheduled at the New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival (NYCEMF). www.nycemf.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/NYCEMF-2015-Program.pdf

In 2018 'Tea Trip' was performed at Festival Licences - Brûlure des langues, Paris.
