Into Another Space [2009 - 2012]

‘Into another space’ was based on some fragments of the voice of John Cage, recorded by WNYC and broadcast as ‘Evening music:
the voice of John Cage’.
The fragments, excerpted from ‘What you Say’ and ‘Lecture of nothing’ offer sonorous itinerary as well as poetic reflections.

When Cage alludes to different spaces and times, his voice opens a dialog between the sounds and the meanings of the words. Through poetics of repetition he communicates hope and irony, and every time they are repeated, words like ‘times’, ‘space’ ‘function’ and ‘miniaturize’ seems to take different semantic aura.

In such a way the voice reveals both ethereal and bodily consistence which re-appears even after being distorted, blurred with other voices and dispersed in the midst of chaotic sonority. (First performance on acousmonium Motus: August 23, 2009 - Festival Futura, Crest, France). The composition was also performed at Festival Sonorities, Belfast, 2015, and at SIME - Semaine Internationale de Musique Electroacoustique, Lille, 2017.

'Into another space' was diffused through 2012 by the Streaming Museum of New York for the 'John Cage Centennial Tribute'.
