Somnia Interrupta (Broken Dreams) [2018]

Fragments of Martin Luther King's most famous speech ('I have a dream') uttered by a vocal synthesizer with an Arabic accent.
The tremulous and brittle overlap of some successes and
the musical group of 'America'.
The archaic sounds of an indigenous choral song (perhaps belonging
to the Native American repertoire, but probably inauthentic).
The slow and triumphal gait of a rhythmic rock section
chasing a little march.
Scratched and tired aerial sounds.
Fleecy electronic sounds.
Trains that rattle and brake, beset by traffic noise.
A suspension and silence, finally.

Dedicated to everything that is interrupted but does not
cease to repeat itself.

Somnia Interrupta was performed on the frame of Ciclo de Música Electroacústica UACh 2020
